Contracting Offensive for state properties
In municipalities and the German Länder much of the savings potential in the existing building stock and the energy supply is not utilised. The energy supply of municipal properties alone incurred costs of 2.25 bn euros in 2005 – and the trend is increasing. Public pressure to implement more cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly energy solutions is increasing.
Contracting can be an instrument for increasing energy efficiency and optimising the energy supply.
As a result of the reluctance to implement contracting measures, dena started the "Contracting Offensive for state properties" project in October 2004.
With the Contracting Offensive, dena pursues the following aims:
- spread and acceptance of contracting and initiation of contracting projects,
- a resulting sustainable reduction in communal household costs and long-term ability to plan the costs of building use,
- reduction of CO2 emissions in existing and newly-built public properties,
- acceleration of market development of the contracting model for energy services.
Within the scope of this campaign, dena has various tenders for municipalities and Länder available.
Within the scope of the "Contracting Offensive" dena is cooperating with energy service suppliers who financially support the information campaign: Siemens Building Technologies, EnBW Vertriebs- und Service GmbH, Evonik New Energies GmbH, GTE Gebäude- und Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Axima GmbH and MCE Gebäudetechnik Stangl GmbH.
The idea of the Contracting Offensive is supported by leading municipal associations, such as the Deutscher Städtetag, Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund and the Deutscher Landkreistag, as well as their regional “Länder” associations and a regional advisor network.
