International

Germany is a world leader in the energy efficiency of buildings. We want to make the knowledge and experience of dena internationally accessible – for climate protection and energy efficiency.

The main countries involved in international cooperation with dena are Russia, countries of Eastern Europe and China. Furthermore, dena is closely associated with European activities for developing and implementing the EU Building Directive within the scope of the Energy Performance Certificate project.

In all projects, dena places importance on a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of energy efficiency of buildings – on both the consumer and supplier sides. For this reason, in addition to the technical aspects, legal and administrative conditions and also the macro-economic environment are taken into account.

For cooperation with experts and institutions in transforming and emerging countries, dena has developed an approach that suits the local conditions and develops tailored solution means.

  • Projects are generally executed by German and local experts in close cooperation
  • The process begins with a common analysis of the areas in the energy efficiency of buildings where action is required and the obstacles to effective implementation
  • Suggested solutions and implementation strategies are then jointly developed
  • German experience is used as the foundation for this, but is not used on a 1:1 basis, but rather adapted to suit the local conditions.

In all projects, dena strives to make use of the expertise of German companies operating in the field of energy efficiency of buildings. Companies interested in the respective markets have the opportunity to become official project partners and present their products and services.
