Heating from renewable energy
The situation affecting our energy supply has changed in recent years. Heavily increased prices for heating oil or natural gas have shown that these fuels are no longer cheaply and abundantly available. Increasing global energy requirements and the rising costs of finding new sources of raw materials are making conventional fossil fuels a highly-priced and internationally sought-after commodity. In addition, international political conflicts lead to repeated price increases because a significant proportion of our oil and gas comes from relatively unstable regions.
Regardless of whether on is a property owner or a tenant, heating costs are becoming an increasingly heavy burden for German households. The price of heating energy rose by 84 percent between 1996 and 2006. The use of renewable energy sources for heating also significantly helps the climate. Using these sources of energy avoids the burning of fossil fuels and thus reduces the emission of climate gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2). Those who switch to heating with renewable energy sources will not only have more security against rising prices. They also show a sense of responsibility towards coming generations and contribute to global climate protection.
