Symposium in the framework of the Indo-German Energy Forum.
Two day conference with focus on energy efficiency.
15. May-16. May 2008 in New Delhi
India and Germany face similar challenges in the energy sector, with regard to both sustainable energy development and security of energy supply. India and Germany, therefore, set up the Indo-German Energy Forum in 2006 to strengthen dialogue and expand bilateral cooperation in this area of importance as part of their strategic partnership.
Under the aegis of the Indo-German Energy Forum, the Ministry of Power, Government of India, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany, and the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) cordially invite you to take part in the Indo-German Symposium on Energy Efficiency, scheduled to be held during May 15-16, 2008 at New Delhi.
The Symposium will focus on two main aspects of energy efficiency:
• Energy Efficiency in thermal power plants (first conference day)
• Energy Efficiency in buildings (second conference day)
The first conference day is organized by the KfW Development Bank.
The German Energy Agency, together with its Indian counterpart, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), is responsible for the preparation of the second conference day on 16th May 2008.
There will be also an opportunity for the relevant German and Indian companies to present their products and services in small exhibition booths organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). As there are a limited number of booths, these will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
Furthermore there will be the possibility for pre-arranged one-to-one discussions between interested business partners. Profiles of participating companies will be submitted to all participants who have registered for the symposium before 30st April 2008. Participants can then request for one-to-one meetings with the company representatives of their choice.
